About

I am a studio potter based in the north-east Cairngorms of Scotland. After being accepted into the 2024-2026 two-year intensive Clay College course, I have been trained in technical skills and historical understanding of pottery, but also to grow into my creative voice. I am deeply grateful for this transformative time.

Finding myself most inspired and at peace in nature, it was only natural that I found a similar passion in clay. I aim for my work to echo the feeling of the natural world, one that is subtle yet awe-inspiring, soft yet strong, calm yet wild.

My work takes form in thrown functional ware, with pieces that desire to be quietly present in your home, used, and held. When making, I tend to have a purpose in mind for the forms I create; however, I enjoy thinking about how this may transform into something different for the user, how they might intend to use it. I find this to be a transitional link between the maker, the pot, and the user.

Although having spent a large majority of my life in Oxfordshire, I also grew up in Kelowna, Canada, which instilled in me a deep love of nature. Now being in the Scottish Highlands, I find the rugged landscape similarly captivating, and it continues to be a source of inspiration for me.

I look forward to continuing to make in my home studio and continuing to share with you all.
